Loop Leisure Spring 2023 / Pre-study tour

ETS Hungary had the opportunity to organize and sponsor the programmes of a pre-tour for this year’s prestigious B2B luxury travel trade fair, Loop Leisure Spring. In 2023 Loop is travelling to Budapest and is held at the Anantara New York Palace Budapest.

At Loop Leisure Spring ETS is also participating as an exhibitor, so as soon as our managing director gets home, we will report in another post.

As the sponsor of the pre-tour, we organized a “Cultural adventures in Hungary” tour, which took place in Budapest and the beautiful Pannonhalma.

After the arrival, our loopers checked-in to the imposant Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest. After welcome drink and guided tour of the hotel, the evening ended with a fancy dinner, during which our managing director, Ibolya joined to the group and took personal care for our loopers.

On the second day our colleague, Kati welcomed the group in Pannonhalma and visited the thousand years old Archabbey. The foundation of the Monastery on Pannon Hill dates back more than 1000 years, and it became part of the World Heritage Sites 25 years ago. During the exclusive visit of the Abbey our loopers took part in a private organ concert and explored the most important sights of the Monastery, as the library with a unique collection of more than 400.000 books and even the places where Pope John Paul II has spent time during his visit!!

After lunch in the dining room of the Abbey, the programme continued in a good mood with wine tasting in the Winery of the Abbey, which included tasting of 3 excellent Hungarian wines and “pogácsa”.

This day we also took a walk in the grandiose Herbal Garden and visited the brand new Fragrance Museum, where we not only could gain an insight into the world of perfumes, but taste some of the chocolate products of the Monastery.

Our loopers finished the day with a spiritual walk at the Labyrinth and with a delicious 3-course dinner. Then we said goodbye to the Millennial walls.

The pre-tour ended with a walking tour in Budapest. My colleague Kati, joined to our loopers again and visited the world’s second largest synagogue, the Synagogue of Dohány street as the highlight of the guided walking tour in the jewish district. In the meantime, we also made a detour to the ruin pub called Szimpla Kert.

Our group travelled to the loop hotel, Antara New York Palace Budapest, where in this 3 days our managing director, Ibolya Fehér continues to build partnerships with our loopers and represents ETS Hungary as an exhibitor!
